Thank you Heather!

While working in the ED today, I met Heather Smith, RN, FNE. She was caring for the patient I was supporting. Heather maintained a presence and awareness of this patient's episode of care as it progressed, jumping in when needed. Ultimately, Heather filled a crucial role in getting some needed medication on board with the assistance of another ED leader. The care provided was professional, respectful, and very competent. I felt quite impressed at how Heather and the other leader jumped in to support this patient's care and the staff already caring for him. This was during a very busy ED time when staff were doing high volumes of care and many in roles that are not their primary ones.

Heather went to great lengths in ensuring this patient received the least restrictive care that honored patient rights and dignity. The teamwork from Heather was amazing. All staff involved were just great, especially Sgt. Weddle from CPD.

As a very new employee (April 2022), I can say I'm super impressed, having very different experiences in the past. It feels like I'm "home".
