Thank you from VSA and our Students!

There aren’t enough thanks in the world to truly capture the gracious, welcoming spirit Carilion continually shows our beloved students. We in Visiting Student Affairs (VSA) would like to share a recent, hands-on, positive clinical nursing student experience at our Pediatric Pulmonary Clinic:

Student: I just wanted to take a moment to say that I had the BEST TIME EVER TODAY! Dr. Tamez  actually took me with him and let me do several assessments on patients behind him and questioned me on what I heard. I got to watch two allergy skin tests and two PFTs. It was so great! I was wondering if there was some way, if I’m even allowed, that I could send them a thank you card. They were AWESOME and I learned so much!

What better thanks than through a platform such as an ePulse WOW highlight, so all Carilion employees can see the impact we have our community and our eager learners/future healthcare providers? Great job Peds Pulm Team! Keep embracing the teaching aspect, in addition to the many other things we do here at Carilion, for which we should all be proud!
