Teamwork and Support

Some days there just aren't enough hours in the day. Today was one such day, we had 10 discharges and one frazzled Social Worker trying to make sure everyone had transportation, oxygen, walkers, medication assistance, etc. During this rush of activity one dedicated ICU nurse knew that the Social Worker had not had time to visit his patient to discuss his options for Rehab. Brent Hart made time to talk with the patient, look up programs that he might be eligible for and make calls to help find placement. This was above and beyond and shows real team work and stepping up to help a co-worker during a stressful time. We appreciate you Brent and dub you Honorary Social Worker of the Day.
