Tammy Mitchell: Taking the Lead

Tammy Mitchell was recognized by the Virginia Nurses Association (VNA) for her excellent work serving as the chair of the student outreach event at Hotel Roanoke, January 18, 2018. The focus of this event was to connect nursing students and healthcare facilities. Tammy was instrumental in designing an evening of networking for students and nursing recruiters.

Attendance was comprised of over 170 students and faculty, VNA board members, and other special guests. The key note speaker was Nancy Howell Agee President and CEO of Carilion Clinic. Nancy delivered an inspirational message related to her nursing journey from a graduate nurse through her successes of today.
