Taking the time

I would like to thank Dr. Eduardo Lara-Torre for stopping to help two patients in the lobby when he didn't have to. This couple only spoke Spanish and they were being screened to go to labor and delivery. As Dr. Lara-Torre was coming in for his shift he noticed that the couple was having trouble understanding the screening questions being asked of them. Dr. Lara-Torre stopped and translated between the couple and the screeners and once he got to the Labor and Delivery floor he got a nurse to come down and get the couple and escort them to where they needed to be. It's doctors like Dr. Lara-Torre that make all the difference!
