As a Carilion employee i want to recognize Susan Williamson. I was an ED patient yesterday. unfortunately, when I drove there, I parked my car in the parking lot where the tennis courts used to be. I later found out it is not Carilion property but belongs to the water authority and it was likely to be towed come daylight. I was unable to drive and did not have anyone with me during the ED visit. Susan came in to check on me and was incredibly comforting and went above and beyond expected care by requesting I let her move my car to a Carilion lot. there are not enough words to say thank you to her. I was really concerned my vehicle would be towed which would have been quite an inconvenience as well as quite an expense. she truly represented the Carilion Value of compassion.
