Sunday Night Sentiments; a WOW for the CNRV ED team

The ED staff at CNRV handled two delicate emergencies with utmost professionalism and care in order to achieve the best outcomes possible on Sunday night. Although a somber evening ensued, ultimately the team worked incredibly well together and communicated effectively during an emotionally trying and physically demanding level 1 trauma (GSW) and neonatal code blue. The following staff displayed remarkable resilience and skill: Bryan Scott, CTL, Lisa Santiago-Clark, CTL, Candi Thrush, CA, Molly Jones, RN, Madison and Kena Williams (RNs), Kaitlin Wade, Medcom specialist, Amber O'Connor, CA, Caitlyn Stepp, RN, Courtney Baugher, CA, Kris Eldelmann, RN, Megan Paredes, RN, Daniel Longoria, LPN, Kate Henley, CA, Justin Hanks, Patient Access Rep, Tristan Looney, PA, Khalief Hamden, MD, Courtney Rocovich, DO, as well as Leah Birdwell, DO and Natalie Benson, RN from pediatrics . Other staff also to be noted include Nursing Supervisor Dana Hodges, medical scribes, all security and Carilion PD personnel, RRT, Lifeguard's Jason Chrisley and Wes Street, Dylan (PharmD), imaging technologists Margaret, Gloria, Jason, Jessica, Cliff and Terika, and the Chaplain, Dale Simpson. 

Although only one Carilion value can be selected per WOW, the staff demonstrated excellence in all of them.
