Servant Hearts in the New River Valley

Twice a year, the NRV Carilion Clinic Hospice and Home Care employees identify not for profit organizations in our community that we can help to accomplish their mission. This is voluntary for our teams and they ALWAYS come through. Spring 2023, our teams identified Vittles for Vets. Vittles for Vets is a local organization that helps local veterans with food. Recently, their outreach funds have decreased from $50.00 weekly to $25.00 weekly for groceries. Thirteen veterans were identified as needing more help. That is where our awesome team came in to help. Easter baskets were created with food items that were desperately needed. As we all know $25.00 for groceries would not get much in today's environment.
