Sarah "Essie" Bridges is the recipient of this quarter's Radiology Vision Award for her innovative ideas in improving patient care.

We are thrilled to announce that Sarah "Essie" Bridges, our Ultrasound CTL, has been honored with this quarter's Radiology Vision Award for her exceptional dedication and innovative contribution. Essie was recognized for her diligent efforts to accommodate a patient's request for a weighted blanket to alleviate their anxiety during an Ultrasound procedure. Despite not having weighted blankets available, Essie resourcefully used a lead apron to provide comfort. Recognizing the significant benefits weighted blankets could offer our patients, especially those experiencing anxiety related to imaging procedures, Essie conducted thorough research and identified a product approved by infection control. She is currently working on obtaining approval to introduce weighted blankets for our patients, striving to enhance their comfort and ease during their imaging procedures. Essie's commitment to improving patient care is truly commendable, and we are proud to celebrate her well-deserved achievement.
