Submitted by kdberry on

Carilion Clinic and Roanoke County Public Schools have announced a long-term partnership to support workforce development through the new Roanoke County Career and Technology Center (RCCTC), set to open in 2027. As part of this effort, Carilion will invest approximately $1.25 million over five years to support health sciences education, including programs that provide students with early exposure to careers such as nursing, emergency medical services, and radiologic technology. The partnership builds on years of collaboration and is designed to strengthen connections between classroom learning, hands-on training, and future career opportunities. By investing in these programs, Carilion and RCPS are helping create more seamless pathways for students to pursue education and careers in health care close to home, ultimately supporting the long-term health of our region.
