Providing Care to our Community

During the set up for an event at Dr. Pepper Park this week, staff from The Center for Simulation, Research and Patient Safety (Jeff Lawson, Heather Matthews, Nate Jones, etc.) jumped into action and provided care to a pedestrian who was suffering a medical emergency. Afterward, Marie Creech, PA reached out to Chaplain services, and Keith Little came over to provide support to our team as well as the staff and vendors of Dr. Pepper Park. It was a sad situation, but the actions of our Carilion employees makes me proud to work with such amazing people. Way to show compassionate care everyone!
