Playing " FREEZE TAG " for CT scan

I want to give a shout out to Haley Laney! One evening we had a young patient that needed a ct scan. He had gotten hit in the head and really needed it. He cried and didn't want to lay down on the CT table. Some of us tried and tried to talk him into it but he wasn't having it. Haley came in and talked to him for probably 20-30 minutes trying to reassure him that it wasn't going to hurt in any way. She even got her phone out and showed him pictures of her CT scan to show him what his pictures would look like. Slowly, he began to seemed more and more at ease. Once he laid down on the table, she made it into a game of " FREEZE ". So when the scanner would start scanning, she would say freeze and he would lay perfectly still. He got the scan he needed with her patience and compassion. Way to go Haley!
