Physical Therapists Kim McDow & India Davidson become Board-Certified Clinical Specialists in Orthopedics

Kimberly McDow and India Davidson, two of Carilion Clinic's outpatient physical therapists, have passed the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties' Orthopedic Exam to become Board-Certified Clinical Specialists in Orthopedics! 

A therapist may only sit for the examination after having supplied evidence of 2,000 hours of direct patient care as a licensed United States physical therapist in the area of orthopedics area within the last 10 years, 25% (500 hours) of which must have occurred within the last three years. This exam is extremely challenging, and while there are over 312,000 licensed physical therapists in the United States as of 2020, fewer than 18,000 carry the designation of Orthopedic Clinical Specialist. 

Kimberly McDow, PT, DPT, OCS, CLT works at Carilion Wellness Rehabilitation Services in Roanoke, while India Davidson, PT, DPT, OCS works at Carilion Clinic Outpatient Therapy in Westlake.
