Peer Support Services Featured at Recovery Ecosystems Conference

Submitted by ayshoemaker on

Congratulations to Dr. Cheri Hartman, project director for the Virginia ED Bridge to Treatment Expansion Project, Kimberly Hunt, peer recovery specialist supervisor, and Phyllis Wolf, community health and outreach manager, for their presentation at Virginia Tech's Recovery Ecosystems Conference on March 6! Their workshop, "Integration of Peer Services," discussed how Carilion has woven peer support specialists into clinical settings, and how other healthcare systems can do the same. Thank you Dr. Hartman, Kimberly, and Phyllis, for being wonderful representatives of Carilion and sharing the important impact our peer support services can have on communities in recovery from mental health, substance use, and trauma.
