Patrick Hamilton saved the day!

Patrick Hamilton noticed that the patient's stroke symptoms were worsening. He rechecked vitals and alerted me right way. He manually squeezed the saline bag to bolus faster. Due to his alertness, prompt recognition and rapid thinking, fortunately the symptoms reversed and further loss of function was prevented.

Nurses are our eyes and ears at bedside, and their involvement is paramount in our complex, rapidly changing patients with multiple comorbidities. They are our unsung heroes that keep our patients safe!
