Modeling Best Practices Compassion & Collaboration!!!

Dr. Kiran Khalid, RN Angela Martin & LCSW Kathleen Lynd worked a very complex and emotionally fraught case on Friday. A patient admitted with a very serious wound and his mother was struggling with accepting that he was ready for the next steps in his recovery. A coordinated best practices plan for his care across multiple specialties was formulated by Dr. Khalid, and then Kat and Angie worked extensively with the mother to explain and implement the plan over several hours. The dignity and autonomy of the patient and his mother were respected and the outcome was positive for all parties!
