Lunch Time Help
Today at Carilion Franklin Memorial Hospital, we began what I hope to be an ongoing routine. During one of our morning huddles this week, I made a suggestion that I thought it would be good if we as leaders could show up on our Acute Care Services floor at lunch time and assist in handing out trays and helping patients and families with lunch.
Imagine my delight today when I saw 6 of our leaders walking down the hallway to assist with lunch. Our very own CFMH leaders will report to the ACS unit every day at 1145 and help hand out trays and feed patients that require assistance. We believe that this will be a great way to help our staff, interact with our patients and families, gather information from patients and families that might help better their stay with us and of course help those in need of eating assistance. We do not expect every single leader to be able to help every day but some of us will be there..... we will spread the wealth, so to speak.
I am so proud of everyone at Carilion Franklin Memorial Hospital. Thank you all for what you do.
