Keeping staff safe

We would like to recognize a very thoughtful, caring Carilion team member, Jeylani Aden from EVS. He not only takes great care attending to our OBGYN Jefferson office, but he also goes the extra mile to make sure we are safe. Some of our staff tends to work late, well past closing, and when it's dark. Jeylani realizes it can be scary and unsafe for us to walk to our cars after dark especially as a woman. Just the other evening, one of our staff had exited the building in the dark. She was feeling that uneasy, shaky feeling coming on. Then Jeylani pushed open the door behind her and offered to walk her to her car. This is not part of his job; he doesn't have to worry over us. But it sure is comforting that he willingly, without hesitation, takes care of us and looks out for our safety.
