JDRF: Greater Blue Ridge Chapter is with Lettitia K. Furrow.
Congratulations to our new V1P, Lettitia Furrow! Lettitia and her sisiter Marcie K Altice, were both diagnosed with T1D at an early age and their parents were very active in JDRF when they were younger. They have both continued to be involved and have walked in the JDRF One Walk for as long as they can remember.
Lettitia has had diabetes for 32 years and has used an insulin pump for 25 years. She is grateful for all of the research that has been done to improve the treatment(s) of T1D. She is also very grateful for the support from my family, friends, and community! Lettitia is married to Steve and has two boys, Ethan (10) and Benjamin (8). She is a physical therapist for Carilion Franklin Memorial Hospital Outpatient Rehabilitation. She is also a member and plays the piano for Doe Run Christian Church.
