Hospice Patient

What an amazing teamwork collaboration we had yesterday for a pediatric oncology hospice patient in the ED.

Between the ED Attending Dr Uherick, Hemonc Attending Dr Atkinson, the hospice nurse Krysta Smoot, myself Peds Hemonc nurse Reagan Brown, Hemonc Pharmacist Warren and Lobby Pharmacist Laz we seamlessly got this child what she needed to be taken care of the ED and then to go home with proper symptom management where the family wanted to be for her end of life.

That is SIX interdisciplinary team members that worked together, listened to each other, and went the extra mile for this sweet girl. I have never been so proud of being a part of this organization and what we accomplished.

Truly a WOW.
