Highlighting Anna Greene Nuclear Medicine HAA

We had an oncology patient come in for a PET exam mid-morning. The patient had a little girl who looked to be about 7 or so with her which normally the child should be in school. The patient was taken to the back and the child was going to need to wait in our waiting room. The child began to cry and Anna took this child under her wing. She found out the the child wasn't fed breakfast and went and asked her mom if she could get her something to eat. She then fed her and got her something to drink and let her pick out a toy out of the treasure chest, which she picked "Old Maid cards". Anna sat on the floor of her office with the child and played cards with her for close to an hour. Anna said, "I knew I had plenty of work to do but I just needed to make sure this child was taken care of and felt safe." 

It turns out that this young mother has some serious health issues and the child's father just got killed in a homicide two weeks ago. The mother kept the child out of school because it was a rough morning for the child who also has seven other siblings.

Also, Anna has been buying the littles toys for the toy chest. She is always thoughtful and is always looking out for all of our patients and gives a little extra love to our littles that come through. We so appreciate the compassion that you display!
