Great team work to accommodate a patient

We had a patient scheduled for a procedure we do not perform in our department and it was unfortunately unnoticed until the patient was already here.

After speaking to the Radiologist who reads the type of things the patient was scheduled for, he recommended a CT study. I contacted CT at RMH and they were unable to do the procedure as they are only performed at CCR3 CT.

I contacted Rene CCR3 CT and was told they could perform the procedure if X-Ray was available to do the other part of the procedure (I had no idea it was a team effort type of study!!)

After this information, I contacted Joni at CCR3 X-Ray to see if they could do the patient. The tech that usually performs that procedure had gone for the day but Joni arranged for someone to come from the ION building to CCR3 to accommodate this patient, who had driven 3 hours from home for the test.

Thank you Joni and Rene and the tech that came from ION. I appreciate your help for this patient and I know she did as well!
