Family Care Cart delivered to Inpatient Pediatrics

Patients and families in the Pediatric Hematology and Oncology clinic and those admitted to our Pediatric floors will be well fed thanks to the Claire Parker Foundation! The foundation delivered a second Family Care Cart to Carilion Children's inpatient floor recently that's stocked with food and snacks for patients and their families to enjoy while in our care. The cart can be pushed around throughout the unit to ensure all have a chance to pick out their favorite snack!

Pictured is a patient selecting a treat from the cart. She said her favorite things to grab are candy, Oreos, cookies and nerd ropes. Yum! She looks forward to picking out something from the cart at each visit.
