Echocardiogram - Roy and April

This is the first time I'm getting a chance to send this.  Approximately a month ago, I went in with a loved one who had to have a transesophageal procedure.  The first people I encountered were Roy Dillard and April Barnes.  Since I work here, they were familiar and friendly faces to me.  I knew my loved one would be taken care of.  At the time, Roy and April were trying to warm up to a brand new area since their department had moved.  Through all of that, they were compassionate, friendly, professional and courteous.  Sometimes, when you are an employee here, you get caught up in employee things.  You don't ever get to see the other side of things unless you need to come in for something like this.  It was very comforting being on the other side of things knowing that one of the people I love most would be cared for in this way.  It makes me proud as a Carilion employee knowing that these are our caretakers and my mind was also very much at ease being on the other side and that is due to Roy and April being the great employees that they are.  They need to be recognized for their great work.  - Sherry Martin
