Dr Muhammad Yousaf - Physician Recognition Award - June 2026

Dr. Muhammad Yousaf, a fellowship-trained headache specialist in neurology, has led the development of several collaborative initiatives to improve care for patients with complex and refractory headache disorders. He has taken a leadership role in teaching and mentoring advanced practice providers (APPs) and neurology residents, extending his expertise to benefit a broader patient population.
Notably, Dr. Yousaf established a Pediatric Headache Clinic at Tanglewood in collaboration with the Pediatric Neurology and Pediatrics departments, providing specialized care for adolescents with migraine and other complex headache conditions. In partnership with Dr. Weppner, he also co-developed a multidisciplinary Advanced Headache Care Clinic at ION, further enhancing comprehensive treatment options for patients. In addition to his clinical and collaborative work, Dr. Yousaf created an elective in headache medicine for VTCSOM medical students, offering advanced, evidence-based training in the management of headache disorders. He has delivered Grand Rounds and educational lectures across Neurology, Internal Medicine, Family and Community Medicine, and Pediatrics, helping to elevate the knowledge and skills of a wide range of providers.
Through his leadership, innovation, and commitment to education, Dr. Yousaf has made significant contributions to improving headache care in the community and is highly deserving of the Physician Recognition Award.
