Derm Clinicians Provide Skin Screening for local firefighters

Last Friday, our Derm team provided skin screenings for Roanoke County, Roanoke City, and Salem Fire employees. Organized by Lesli Mace, PA and Roanoke County's Fire Chief, the event screened 60 firefighters in our community. Firefighters are at a higher risk of developing skin cancer, particularly melanoma, and are often diagnosed at a younger age.

In addition to Lesli, the team providing the screenings were: Dr. Mariana Phillips, Jarret Faust, PA, Lauren Lane, PA, Kate Tolmie, PA, and VTC Med Student Alex Robbins. Thank you all for taking care of our community and those who take care of us.
