Congratulations Melinda Ellis, B.S.N., R.N., O.C.N., on receiving the Daisy Award!

Melinda Ellis went above and beyond with a patient who was having issues with their medical coverages.  The patient explained that their current medical coverage was expiring before the expected discharge and that the patient wasn't sure what to do if she had to stay for medical treatment.  Melinda quickly pulled a team together to assist this patient with her needed treatments within the timespan the patient gave.  Not only did Melinda successfully aide in the expedited treatment for her patient, but she never left the patient’s side; checking in frequently, calling doctors when there were concerns, and ensuring the patient was comfortable during her stay.
