Congratulations Meagan Tolley, R.N., BSN, CRMH, Ambulatory Surgery Unit on receiving the Daisy Award!

Meagan Tolley showed great compassion to our patient when he needed it the most.  This patient has been on the unit since May and unfortunately, he has continued to decline over time.  He also has a complex family situation which has left him alone through most of his hospital stay.  This patient’s care plan became increasingly difficult however Meagan never lost her aspect of human touch with him.  As the time went on, she has grown attached to him and created a heart-felt sign for all the staff to sign with “We Love You Paw Paw” and brought it to the patient’s room for him to have and display.  We all need some extra compassion during these unprecedented times and Meagan went above and beyond to display empathy for her patient.
