CVI team saves a patient's life in the outpatient ambulatory setting - Martinsville/Roanoke
CVI team members, Joyce Martin, PA; Sarah Plichta; Evelyn Robertson, RN; Teneah Copeland, LPN and Kimberly Armijo, CMA, employees from both the Martinsville and Roanoke location worked together to save the life of a patient who was having a critical medical emergency. The patient arrived at Carilion Clinic Cardiology Martinsville for a routine outpatient visit. Following the visit, the patient experienced a critical event that required immediate action. The CVI team members quickly identified the needs of the patient; they communicated clearly with each other and implemented life-saving measures to save the patient's life. Due to their seamless coordination for care, clinical expertise, and remaining calm under pressure, the team ensured that our patient received the proper care at just the right time and ultimately lead to the successful recovery of our patient.
