Congratulations Roy Dillard, CA, on receiving the BEE Award!

"Roy transports patients on a daily basis from 6 south OPS to the echo department. If the patient is nervous, Roy takes the time to put them at ease with his calming demeanor and soft voice.  We have a good amount of patients who need to return for additional procedures.  They always remember Roy and ask for him by name.  They want to make sure he will be transporting them again. In the few minutes Roy spends with the patient he will learn something special about them such as a story about a pet or a family member.  When the patients return for another procedure, they are impressed that he remembers them and their story. His genuine kindness does not go unnoticed.  In addition to taking exceptional care of the patients he also is kind and caring to the staff. He knows if someone is having a bad day and will offer kind words to cheer them up. I always say that if they had a nomination for Mr. Carilion, Roy would win hands down.  You can tell he loves his job and all interaction with everyone he meets."
