Congratulations to Natalia Mianowski, RN for winning the DAISY Award!

After being airlifted by Medivac from WC and arriving here, I was frightened and unsure whether I was going to make it. With no immediate family nearby, I felt especially alone and vulnerable.

Shortly after being placed in the ICU, an angel in disguise named Natalia appeared at my bedside.

During my time in the ICU, I found myself confronting many emotions—hurt, loss, grief, and disappointment that I had carried deep inside for years. In those vulnerable moments, I poured my heart out to Natalia. She listened without judgment, held my hand, comforted me, and showed me a level of compassion and loving kindness that I will never forget. I truly believe that God was working through her.

I feel incredibly honored and blessed to have been under Natalia's care. I was struck by her frequent laughter and the joy that seems to radiate from her soul. Even while performing the demanding responsibilities of nursing, she did so with such grace, skill, warmth, and a genuinely joyful heart.

Natalia didn't simply care for me as a patient—she cared for me as a person. Her presence gave me comfort during one of the most frightening and emotional times of my life. She made me feel heard, valued, and cared for when I needed it most.

Natalia has made a profound impact on my life, and I will always remember her as one of the best nurses anyone could possibly have. She is a truly sweet, kind, compassionate, and loving soul, and I know that anyone fortunate enough to be under her care would feel the same.

Natalia, thank you for being a light during one of the darkest moments of my life. Your compassion, kindness, and joyful spirit will stay with me always. You are truly deserving of this DAISY recognition. 🌼
