Congratulations to Malcolm Johnson for winning the BEE Award!

The CMC Ancillary Council is proud to announce that Malcolm has been selected as a 2026 BEE Award recipient!

Malcolm was nominated for the exceptional compassion, kindness, and intentional care he provides to patients. One patient shared how Malcolm consistently went above and beyond throughout their six rounds of chemotherapy, finding meaningful ways to make their experience more comfortable and cared for.

From offering to change their sheets each day to thoughtfully respecting phone calls and visits, Malcolm demonstrated that even the smallest acts of kindness can make a lasting difference. He took the time to ask about the patient’s family, genuinely listen, and provide care that extended beyond the immediate needs of treatment.

The impact of Malcolm’s compassion is felt throughout our care environment. As the nominator shared, “Even as I am writing this, I hear him in the hallway asking someone how they are doing. He always asks and sincerely listens.”
