Congratulations to Amber Duncan, Retail Director, Dining and Nutrition Services-Premier Inc. Culinary Creations Top 10 Award Winner

Our own Amber Duncan was recognized at the Culinary Creations Dinner during Premier's annual Food Service Forum, held in conjunction with its 2019 Breakthroughs Conference and Exhibition, which drew more than 4,000 Health Care Providers and Suppliers to Nashville, Tennessee, June 18th-21st. This  year's theme, Classic Entree with a Twist, challenged participants to take a fresh approach to traditional recipes, maximizing fresh ingredients and reflecting an overall healthier profile. Amber's recipe, Not Your Mother's Pot Pie", was voted in the top 10 submitted recipes. The dish is  full of delicious surprises, to include fresh local vegetables and jack fruit.To quote Amber:  "What a marvelous surprise to discover this protein packed freak of nature was so flavorful and versatile!"  Amber's noted passion for food has continued to support exploration of exciting new ingredients for recipes and dishes served within Carilion Cafeterias.
