Congratulations Bethany David on receiving the DAISY Award!

Congratulations to Bethany David on winning the DAISY award for August of 2022!  Please take a moment to read her story of compassion for her patient and family.

On June 17th, my world was turned upside down as my Husband became very sick and needed to be hospitalized. Shortly after, I met Bethany David, who would become my Husband’s ICU nurse for three long weeks. Words alone cannot describe how fantastic Bethany is and was during my Husbands stay. She was always extremely attentive to him and what I appreciated most is that she kept me updated and informed on absolutely everything involved with his care. Needless to say, this has been one of the most scariest moments in my life and Bethany helped me get through it. She held my hand, comforted me when I was upset, and was there every step of the way. She truly embodies what it means to be a dedicated nurse and made me feel somewhat at ease during a very bleak time for my family. If it were up to me, I’d hand out 100 Daisy awards to Bethany for showing care, compassion, and genuineness. I know there is a lot of uncertainties in this world we live in, but I can say without a shadow of a doubt that I am certain that Bethany is an outstanding nurse and I’m not sure how I would have gotten through such a frightening time without her.
