Compassion and Commitment at work!

Hasan Kazmi, PharmD, BCCP, was working closely with the CCU team on a patient consult.  This patient did not speak much English but did speak Urdu, which Hasan speaks as well.  Hasan visited the patient each day to ask the patient in Urdu if they had any questions or concerns.  He took the time to listen to the patient’s concerns and then worked to communicate these concerns to his team.  He worked diligently to coordinate and communicate recommendations from several other teams to expedite the care this patient needed to be safely discharged.  Before discharge, he took the time to speak with the patient in Urdu about the discharge plans and educate the patient on new medications at discharge.
