Code Kringle Brings Christmas to the Adolescent Psychiatric Unit
Code Kringle was another success thanks to the hard work of numerous Carilion teams. Hundreds of toys and bears were collected and delivered (by Santa, Mrs. Claus and their elves) to children on the adolescent psychiatric unit. Special thanks to Carilion Clinic Patient Transportation for delivering Santa and his entourage to the Berglund Center as part of the Carilion Children's Skate Day toy drive; Carilion Revenue Cycle, including Kevin Peters, Joseph Stutso, Cindy McGuire, Brittany Fitzgerald, Dana Blankenship, Eva Jones, Jenny Roberts, Nicholas Moore, Trudy McNew, Jennifer Short, Tracy Vandeberg, Christina Thompson, Jennifer Laite, Kelsey Swift and Tammy Chitwood, for collecting toys and helping organize donations; Carilion Children's, including Amy Kageals, Dr. Dunsmore, Dr. Ruppel, Angela Chattin, Victoria Rosenberg and Tabitha Thompson for volunteering time at the Skate Day; Carilion adolescent psychiatric unit staff, including Dr. Wilson, Lisa Dishner, Lynn Stewart, John Norman and all their elves for bringing so much joy to their patients; a special thank you to Koby Hearn at the Berglund Center - an important community partner in this effort; and to Marketing and Communications, including Hannah Curtis, Laura Fischer, Kristin Goddard and Chris Turnbull for coordinating and carrying out this massive effort.
