CNRV Surgical Care Unit Supports Habitat for Humanity

Submitted by trcroy on

Surgical Care Unit staff volunteered to help restore the T.G. Howard Center in Pulaski County. Staff participated with the demolition which included using sledgehammers to knock down walls, and a chimney! They also removed a roof and hauled off debris.

Following renovation, the T.G. Howard Center will provide financial literacy programs, health education, job recruitment, as well as a youth academy and recreational area. T.G. Howard Center's goal is "to service the community, before serving ourselves" which pairs perfectly with Carilion's Mission to "improve the health of the communities we serve."
