CNRV Guest & Volunteer Services Cares for Team Member-George Bethea

Each day the Guest & Volunteer Services Team at CNRV diligently attends to all details to make sure their patients and guests are taken care of.  Whether it's parking their cars, helping them with wayfinding, giving them a ride to another location on campus or simply offering a smile or just listening to them.  The guest services team is spot on in making sure people are treated professionally and with respect.

Recently one of their own team was ill and had an extended stay away from home.  This caring team which not only included the staff, but also several CNRV volunteers, jumped in to helping their co-worker with moving to an apartment better suited for his health condition, making sure he had visitors while healing, giving him a hair cut, making sure his prescriptions were filled, helping him to understand paperwork and processes, giving him a ride when needed, purchasing clothing and sundry items, supplying snacks and food to stock his cabinets when he returned home and more.  His team also nominated him for the Lend A Hand program at Carilion and he received extra funds to assist with his bill.  This special team spends all day each taking care of the needs of the patients and guest at CNRV and didn't miss a beat when it came to taking care of their own team member.  Many thanks to this team for being kind and taking the time to attend to the needs of their friend and co-worker.  So proud of this group of individuals!
