Claire Demma receives DAISY Award at CRBH!
From the daughters of a Hospice Patient at CRBH
One of our patients' daughters was reminiscing about cherished moments with her mother, the daughters mentioned their trips to "Sweet Things" for sherbet ice-cream. Understanding the importance of these memories, Clair took the initiative to contact the owner of "Sweet Things" on a Sunday, even though the shop was closed. She arranged for the owner to make ice cream, which she then brought in (on her day off) so the daughters and patient could have it one last time. One daughter stated "This was the best experience we could have had in such a bad time in our life, we can never forget what Clair has done... to let us have this memory again together before our mom passed away"
This thoughtful gesture created a wonderful memory for the family, especially the daughters during her mother's final days. The daughters expressed her deep gratitude and wanted to ensure Clair received recognition for her kindness.
Her actions have left a lasting impact on this family and your actions are a testament to the compassion and dedication that define our care here at CRBH!
