CFMH celebrates Hand Hygiene Day

Franklin the Frog made an appearance on Monday, May 6th to celebrate World Hand Hygiene Day with staff and visitors to share the importance of hand hygiene in creating the safest environment for our patients, staff, and visitors. Our CFMH leaders also shared their thoughts on how important Hand Hygiene is:

Hand hygiene is of the utmost importance in preventing Hospital Acquired Infections and other illnesses for our patients, visitors and our staff. Hand hygiene protects our entire community and is the easiest, most cost effective 15 seconds of prevention we can do. Please, be kind and wash your hands.

Hand Hygiene is one of the single most important acts we do as healthcare providers to keep our patients safe. Practicing good hand hygiene saves lives and cannot be emphasized enough. As healthcare workers, we know that hand hygiene is one of the number one ways to prevent Hospital Acquired Infections. This practice protects not only our patients, but our families, our community, and ourselves. It is a small task that takes so little time, but can truly save lives.
