Celebrate Telehealth Awareness Week
This week, the Digital Health team celebrates Telehealth Awareness Week, Sept. 18-24, by thanking all the individuals who use our services. We have implemented various resources throughout the years to ensure our patients receive convenient care while keeping their safety top of mind. Accomplishments in digital care include:
- Streamlined workflows to improve patient and provider experiences
- Launch of Carilion Now – an app for 24/7 urgent care virtual visit
- Implemented tele-chaplaincy to connect patients to on-demand spiritual guidance at Carilion Giles Community Hospital and Carilion Tazewell Community Hospital
- Connecting students at the Fallon Park Elementary School LIFT Center to a Carilion Children’s provider using Tytocare technology
- Performing tech checks with targeted patients prior to scheduled virtual appointments which allows for a reduction in connection time between the two
- Integrating the FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources) app for Specialists on Call
