Carilion Franklin Memorial Hospital Drive Thru Vaccine Clinic

Submitted by ctcline on

On Saturday, March 6th, Carilion Franklin Memorial Hospital conducted a "Drive Thru Vaccine Clinic" at a local middle school in Rocky Mount, (Franklin County) VA. This clinic was planned and implemented in collaboration with the West Piedmont Health District, the Franklin County Sheriff Dept, our United Way partners and  members of the Rocky Mount Rotary Club. McDonalds of Rocky Mount provided lunch for every volunteer that participated.

There were so many amazing volunteers from Carilion Clinic including staff from CFMH, Pharmacy, Carilion Community Outreach, TSG, Carilion Direct,  and Carilion Community Medicine. Our own CFMH Maintenance crew assisted in set up on site.  I cannot possibly list any names for fear of leaving someone out.  This huge undertaking could not have been completed without each and every person there.

So much work went into the planning and implementation from our CFMH teams including obtaining  names from VDH, sending out emails and links to over 5000 people, arranging appointment times, setting up training, setting up scribes, vaccinators, registration, runners, pharmacy, etc.

I am so proud of the work that everyone did here in giving out 1175 vaccines to members of our community. Job well done!!!
