Carilion Clinic NRV Hospice - We Honor Veterans' Wall

Creating a We Honor Veterans’ Wall has been a dream of Treasa Rigney’s for several years.  Recently, that dream became a reality. Treasa Rigney, NRV Hospice Volunteer Coordinator and Heather White, NRV Hospice Manager developed the design for the wall and worked with Carilion Marketing to ensure compliance with a project of this magnitude.  Robyn Angle, NRV Hospice Chaplain contacted families to obtain the photos then edited and mounted the photos based on the overall design.

The hallway where the memorial is placed is shared by Carilion Clinic Home Care and the NRV Family Medicine office. Thankfully, both groups were on board with this project as photos continue to come in, and they’ve now started mounting the pictures on a separate wall. Treasa said that this has been a labor of love as she purchased the picture frames and the picture of the American eagle/American flag in memory of her late husband, Cecil whose photo is on the wall.  She said, “We are very honored to do this for the men and women that served our country.”
