CAPS Presented at Vizient Summit Conference

Congratulations to Shawn Blackwell, Senior Director Quality PMO and Performance Improvement, and Dr. Suzy Kraemer, Chief Quality Officer, who were selected to present at the Vizient Summit Conference in Las Vegas, Sept. 18-21. Their abstract, When Everything is a Priority, Nothing is a Priority, was selected from more than 600 abstracts. Only 10% of submissions were selected for presentation.

The abstract highlights how Clinical Advancement and Patient Safety (CAPS) focused on three tactics in a year to improve patient outcomes. Those tactics involved establishing tools and standards, adopting a mindset that separated operational work from project work and developing leadership competencies for effectively manage people through change.
