Behavioral Health Security Specialist shows Compassion

At the Carilion Mental Health Roanoke Rehab building, we had a woman in the main lobby become upset and openly voiced a desire to walk into traffic outside the building. Distraught, the woman began to get more frustrated, tearful, and vocal. One of our Behavioral Health Security Specialists, Aieisia Coleman, came to the woman's aid immediately. Aieisia took the time to show the woman compassion, gave her undivided attention, and talked to the woman about her options. Aieisia coordinated with dispatch to safely transport the woman to the CRMH Emergency Department to be evaluated and ultimately in a safe environment.

This was an escalating situation that could have ended very differently if it was not caught in time, thanks to Aieisia, it ended in a smooth, safe manner!
