Art Show Gift

Lisa Garrett with Carilion Family Medicine painted a beautiful piece titled Compassion and Love: The Service Dog and submitted it to the Carilion Employee Art Show.

When I walked through the show, I noticed the piece was for sale, but it had already been sold. After the art show ended, Caroline Booth with Carilion Cardiology generously gifted the artwork to Meadow and me so we could proudly display it in our office.

While I am not sure whether Meadow was the muse for the piece, the artwork beautifully reflects the compassion, love, and meaningful work she brings to others day in and day out. We are grateful for Lisa’s talent, Caroline’s generosity, and the opportunity to celebrate the impact of dogs like Meadow.
