8 South PCU’s recycling and collaboration leads to new bench!

The next time you are at the Medical Education wing patio at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, take a moment to relax and enjoy the new bench! 8 South PCU worked together as a unit to participate in the Trex Soft Plastics Recycling program and recycled 500 pounds of plastic. Upon achieving this goal, they were given a bench made out of the recycled material. Collaboration between 8 South PCU, Carilion Clinic Design, Engineering and Maintenance, and Sustainability helped get this bench installed in this location.
