1st Single Port daVinci pediatric procedure

I want you to know your staff team performed fantastically yesterday. They setup and helped ensure a good outcome to what is, to my knowledge, the first abdominopelvic SP robotic case at Carilion Clinic and the first pediatric SP case in Virginia. They would be the fourth team in country to perform a pediatric SP case (two of the other three sites being Mayo Clinic and Cleveland Clinic). Evidently yesterday was an Intuitive holiday, so we did not have a da Vinci rep to support us. Caleb, Tammy, Renee were there early and did a great job. Ashleigh Ward did her usual magic of helping everyone get the right things and be in the right place. Donald Bain helped get things setup on Friday. I’m sure Trish played a role too.

And it happened in Roanoke, Virginia.
