Congratulations to Charles Daniel, M.D., a Carilion Urologist for performing the first simple transvesical prostatectomy in our region, a procedure that treats various urologic conditions. Congratulations to Dr. Mark Witcher and the Neurosurgery team at CRMH for performing the region's first focused ultrasound treatment. Focused ultrasound is an incisionless treatment for essential tremor and tremor-dominant Parkinson's disease for patients who have not responded to medication.
