Epic Log-in Lab Deadline Extended to Friday, Dec. 3!

The next Epic release will take place this Sunday, Dec. 5. Here's what you need to know so you are ready.

1. Participate in Horizon Security Log-in Labs Before Go-Live

• Horizon security updates may change the look and feel of Epic.
• Because we know time is limited, we are offering a quick and easy way for you to see the changes and become comfortable with them before go-live by participating in a log-in lab.
• You can complete your log-in lab anytime between now and Dec. 3. It should take 10-15 minutes. View this job aid for directions or view the video above.
• If you have questions, attend one of the drop-in support sessions to talk with an Epic trainer. Drop-in sessions are available through Dec. 3 (extended from Nov, 29!) at the following times via Teams:
  • For providers:
    • Monday through Friday 6 a.m. - 2 p.m. and 4 - 6 p.m.
    • Saturday and Sunday, 6 a.m. - 2 p.m.

  • For all other Epic users: 
    • Monday through Friday, 5 - 9 a.m., 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., and 5 - 9 p.m.

2. Visit your Learning Home Dashboard for role-specific education. This is separate from log-in labs.

• This job aid shows how to access your Learning Home Dashboard. We also have a new video demo showing how to access it!
• Learning Home Dashboards also may now be accessed using the F1 button when you are in Epic.
• All Epic users should have a Learning Home Dashboard. If you do not have one, request one by contacting the Technology Service Center through Edison or by phone at 540-224-1599 (71599).

3. Review downtime processes/documents relevant to your department. 

4. Reach out for education support or questions.

• Use the E&OD Request Portal portal to ask a question about education, request time for 1:1 log-in lab assistance, or to ask a trainer for help. Use your AD account to log in.
